Who doesn’t love a high pitched request uttered five thousand times over and over again? Correct! No one likes it. Least of all a mom who has heard nothing but whines from sun up till the blessed time that your three year old (or there abouts) goes to bed finally, FINALLY! What is this phenomena all about? I have repeated the mantra about  a thousand times, “Please ask me again in your normal voice.” It helps for a brief period. A few sentences will be uttered in her normal, oh so lovely, tone. 10. They’re acting like they’ve just escaped the funny farm.

9. They’re spacing out silently.

8. They burst into tears because their pants are blue (or something equally insignificant.)

7. They insist on eating salad dressing for dinner (or something equally bizarre/gross)

6. They insist on a certain pair of pajamas that are, of course, in the hamper - no other pj’s will do.

5. They ask you questions they would normally never ask, such as, “Can I brush my teeth?”

4. They laugh uncontrollably at their cup during dinner.

Police: Mother A Crip, Father A Westside Baller

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. —

A couple fighting about
which gang their 4-year-old toddler should join caused a public
disturbance that resulted in the father’s arrest, Commerce City police
said Thursday.

On Saturday, Joseph Manzanares stormed into the
Hollywood Video store where his girlfriend worked, threatened to kill
her and knocked over several video displays and even a computer,
Commerce City police Sgt. Joe Sandoval said.

After he ran out of the store, police were called and the 19-year-old was arrested at his home. (read more)

Police say harsh punishment killed toddler

A toddler found dead in her home was likely the victim of her father’s harsh punishment for bed-wetting, according to police.

Newspaper carrier Jericho Wright told police his 3-year-old daughter, Liadan Eva Wright, struck her head when he threw her into a shower on Sunday afternoon after she wet her bed.

He says the girl was fine when he put her to bed that evening. But when he returned from a round of delivering papers just before dawn, he found his daughter cold and stiff.  read more »
