Why didn't you tell me sooner?

Today while talking with some moms (while our little fairies fluttered around together like three year olds) I was pleased to discover one of those universal truths. This one wasn’t so much a positive one as it was a ‘misery loves company’ version of a truth. You can tell your husband something ten thousand times but until he ‘experiences’ it it’s just not all that significant.
It doesn’t matter if your telling Mr. Man, “We need a double stroller” or “Our laptop sucks” or “Our pantry is infested with pantry moths” until the moment he gets hit in the face with the issue it will remain on the back burner. Women's Intuition - why isn't there a Men's version?

If you’ve ever been around a mom friend or bunch of mom friends and been attempting to leave a cafe you know what happens. The women all start assessing the situation together. ‘Here’s your sunglasses, and your sons sweatshirt, can you hand me my drink?’ Everyone starts instinctively helping each other out. You don’t just stand there gawking while your friend changes her baby’s diaper you hand her a wipe or a new diaper or whatever item that mom might need. Not just because you’re a mom that understands about these things but because you know what that woman needs and you know that she’ll return the favor when the time comes that you need such a thing. read more »
